However the tide is now turning as those businesses that survived by laying off staff are now hiring again. With a new outlook on growing the workforce in the post-covid climate.

A significant number of employers aim to have more than 20 percent of their workforce permanently working remotely. About half of the country’s employees expect to work from home offices (telecommute) in the future.

Remote working is familiar territory for freelancers. This has been an advantage to those already living an independent life-workstyle. Thus familiar with the tools of the trade to communicate and work with teams across the globe.

About a third of the employers asked in recent surveys say they are hiring more casual workers. Although they do so on short-term contracts to replace their previous stock of permanent employees. Cost savings are cited as one of the benefits behind hiring staff on a freelance or contract basis.
